Word out of the Euros is that Tomas Rosicky will not start in today’s quarter-final clash against Portugal. Tomas continues to deal with an inflamed Achilles tendon (an injury that affords the kind of fun one gets when running about with barbells strapped to the ankles). Tomas did participate in light training yesterday and will feature as an available substitute, so we shall see. Best of luck to our hero in what is bound to be an open game of attacking football replete with goals as well as lots of winks and chiseled poses from Ronaldo. And here’s to hoping that Tomas finds his way back to his fellow Gunners sans pain and ready to build upon what were an amazing set of last season performances for the Arsenal.
